You can play the game with the following mentioned moves:

1. Win: If you have two in a row, play to get three in a row.

2. Block: If your opponent has two in a row, play the third move to block it.

3. Fork: Generate an opportunity where to win in two ways.

4. Block opponents Fork:

Option 1: Generate two in a row to compel your opponent to lose, as long as it doesnt conclude him in generating a fork or winning.
For instance, if "Bones" has a corner and the opposite corner too, "Pumpkin" has the center, then "Pumpkin" shall not play a corner so as to win.

Option 2: If you see a configuration where the defendant can fork, block that fork.
